General meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of the month
at the Clayton Community Church premises,
starting at 9.30 am with Hospitality followed at 10 am by a
short business Meeting and then a speaker if we have arranged one.

Clayton Valley Woman’s Club Meeting

Meeting will celebrate gathering again and will focus on directory distribution, Happy News Basket, collection of school supplies, Donations Committee appointments, committee volunteer signups, coming Pie Sales, and our Ways & Means wine sale. (Remember to bring your checkbooks!!)

Thanks to Merle Whitburn’s son, we have a new Ways & Means project. He is donating two cases of wine for sale at $10 per bottle! One case is 12 various bottles of assorted white wines while the other is a case of red wine, mostly single bottles with a few multiples. Merle will bring the cases to our September meeting. We can select our wine and write a check (to CVWC) then.
Silverwood Elementary School
School supplies collection

It’s time to start thinking about our School Supplies Collection which benefits Silverwood Elementary School. The most needed items are: glue sticks, Crayola Crayons, Crayola Markers, pencils, colored pencils, highlighters, erasers, art supplies (colored paper, tissue paper, glitter) wide –ruled binder paper, 12” rulers, scissors, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, Band-Aids, paper towels, Ziploc sandwich bags and Ziploc gallon bags. These are just some suggestions; anything related to the classroom and children will be most appreciated. Teachers can also use computer paper, both white and colored.
Plan to bring your donations to the August 13th meeting or the September 10th meeting. Remember to sign in and please note the estimated value of your donation.
Keep an eye out for those “ BACK TO SCHOOL ‘ sales that are advertised in the summer.

The Wednesday Book Club will meet on September 18th at 10 am at Sheila Driscoll's home. Book to be discussed: The Women by Kristin Hannah. Please let Sheila know if you're coming.
