Julia is a distinguished jewelry designer, artist and gallery owner based in the Bay Area. Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, she studied Business and Economics at Istanbul University before immigrating to the United States in 1991. Later, she pursued Interior Design at Las Positas College, further enriching her artistic and design expertise.

Her journey as a jewelry designer led to significant recognition, and in 2012, Diablo Magazine honored her as the Best of the Rast Bay Local Jewelry Designer. As a RAW Artist, Julia showcased her work in two prominent shows in San Francisco and New York, further establishing her presence in the art community.

Julia is deeply involved in the local arts scene, currently serving as the president of the Alamo Danville Artists’ Society and directing Blackhawk in Danville, CA. In May 2032, she achieved a historic milestone by opening JOR Fine Art Gallery in Clayton, CA the first art gallery in the town’s history.

A resident of Clayton for over 30 years. Julia continues to be a passionate advocate for the arts, fostering creativity and providing a platform for emerging and established artists alike.

General Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of the month 

at the Clayton Community Church premises, 

starting at 9.30 am with Hospitality followed at 10 am by a

short business Meeting and then a speaker if we have arranged one.

BOOK CLUB I

3rd Wednesday of each month at 10 am

 

The Wednesday Book Club will meet on April 16thth  to review the "Mrs Quinn's Rise to Fame" by

Olivia Ford.   Time 10 am at Rosemary Harwood's house.  

BOOK CLUB II

3rd Tuesday of each month at 12 noon

 

Our next meeting is April 15th when we'll review "The Life Impossible" by  Matt Haig.  Bring your sack lunch.  We would like to increase our membership.  If you are interested, please join us.
