General Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of the month (except July & August) at the Clayton Community Church premises,
starting at 9.30 am with Hospitality followed at 10 am by a short business Meeting and then a speaker if we have arranged one.

CLAYTON VALLEY WOMAN'S CLUB
General Meeting October 14th, 2025
Speaker: Lisa Von Felden
Our guest speaker on Tuesday, October 14, will be Lisa Von Felden. She is the author of the children’s book, Ellie with the Belly. Lisa will be speaking at 11am. Her books will be selling for $20.
Lisa grew up with her three sisters in Northern California. As a young girl she enjoyed writing poems and short stories. At the age of 10, she experienced a “defining moment” in her life, after she became the target of a cruel classmate. Lisa learned the power of hurtful words. Thirty years later at age 40, her two young boys reignited the desire to write again and “redefine” that moment. Ellie with the Belly was created! Life was so busy though that she decided to pack up her story and put it in the garage where it sat for 21 years. In 2023, Lisa was inspired to unpack her story and was soon led to illustrator Mark Stan Wilson who has beautifully illustrated her story. Together they have worked tirelessly to bring Ellie and her friends to life and her prayer is that they will become a beacon of light for children and adults everywhere
to be bold and walk with courage and kindness.
Bring your friends to meet the author and pick up some beautiful books for your young grandchildren and great grandchildren!
BOOK CLUB I
3rd Wednesday of each month at 10 am
Our Wednesday October 15th meeting will be at 10 am at Jean Doward & Claire Torres' home. The book for discussion is "Theo of Golden" by Allen Levi.
BOOK CLUB II
3rd Tuesday of each month at 12 noon
Our next meeting is October 14th at noon in the Clayton Library. Bring your sack lunch and join us when we review "Lady Tan's Circle of Women" by Lisa Lee.
