GFWC CLAYTON VALLEY WOMAN'S CLUB
CVWC members are community-minded women of all ages,
from the Clayton/Concord area and beyond, who have
joined together to provide community service through
volunteering and fundraising. We are dedicated to
meeting the needs and interests of all members as we
meet the needs in our community.
We meet at 10:00 am on the second and fourth Tuesdays
January through May and September through November,
in the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Social Hall, 1092
Alberta Way, Concord. We have special events at other
locations on the second Tuesdays in June and December
and as listed in the calendar. We do not meet in July
and August.
CVWC was organized and federated in 1973 as Clayton
Woman's Club and was incorporated in 1982. In 2002
members voted to change the name to GFWC Clayton
Valley Woman's Club to better reflect our
membership.
CVWC is a member of the General Federation of Women's
Clubs, International, the GFWC California Federation of
Women's Clubs, and the GFWC Mount Diablo
District.
GFWC is one of the world's largest women's volunteer
service organizations, with members in more than 40
countries. CFWC is made up of state federations and
has approximately 300 clubs with a membership of more
than 13,000.
If you are interested in making new friends and want
to make a difference in your community, we invite you
to join us at a meeting or attend an event. Everyone
is welcome.
